I know I often say “Maple Syrup isn’t just for pancakes”…but hey, no one can deny that it’s REALLY good on pancakes. This pancake recipe is simple and can be adapted to make thick or thin pancakes, whatever you like best.
Ingredients
- 3/4 to 1 cup buttermilk (3/4 of a cup for thicker pancakes, 1 cup for thinner)
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tbs sugar (or maple sugar!)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tbs butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Method
Preheat griddle on medium heat and add a bit of butter so pancakes don’t stick. Mix ingredients together and pour onto griddle. Wait until bubbles form on the top of pancakes and then flip to other side for a minute or so. Stack them up, add some maple syrup and you’ve got yourself some deliciousness.
